Funeral Expenses
This
fund is being set up in memory of Jeff Keil, loving husband, devoted father,
and fantastic Systems Engineer (a true computer geek). Jeff had a huge heart of gold. He was loved by family, friends, and
co-workers alike. He will be sorely missed by all who enjoyed his wonderful
witt and kid-like, fun-loving personality.
As
he was a wonderful brother-in-law and son-in-law, the Pusch Family is setting
up this fund to help Jeff's family.
Julie, his widow, and two of their three sons, Jeffrey, Jr. and Timmy,
relied heavily on Jeff as the sole supporter of the family. Jeff
wore that responsibility very well and would not have had it any other
way. We would like to help the family
with funeral expenses and are asking that memorials be provided through this
site in lieu of sending flowers.
Jeff
passed away in Lakeland Regional Medical Center after having been admitted
through the ER late Saturday evening, December 8th, complaining of
throat pain. Jeff rarely complained nor would he ever admit having had a long,
hard day at work. Throughout the night, not much of a diagnosis was provided
other than he had fluid in the lining of his heart. He was given a nitro drip
and his pain eased. He rested better and
additional cardio tests were performed on Sunday. Julie stayed by his side and turned on the Buccaneers
football game as Jeff and Julie were fans. Jeff watched the Bucs lose in the last two
seconds. He joked around with his son,
Tommy, about how the medical personnel would be sticking his heart with a
needle to drain the fluid and he made reference to a specific movie "The Rock"
when Nicolas Cage had to give himself an antidote jab to the heart. This was Jeff: always the movie buff, quick with witt, and joking
: no matter what. Shortly after, Jeff
began laboring with his breathing and his heart beat dropped very low and was
unable to be resuscitated and died around 5:15 p.m. Sunday, December 9th. He was in the hospital less than 24 hours and
was gone in the blink of an eye.
This
is truly an unexpected tragedy. Jeff was
only 51 years old. He would have turned 52 on December 28, 2012.
The
memorial service for Jeff will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29th,
at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home located at 1727 Highway 98 South (Bartow Road),
Lakeland, Florida. We will be celebrating his life and all are welcome to
attend.
