Hudsons Surgery And Recovery

Hey friends. For those who don’t know our beautiful Hudson James, he is a Nemaline myopathy warrior! With this genetic condition, respiratory distress is very common since they are weak breathers. Hudson was admitted into the picu for respiratory issues due to the common cold and pneumonia. Everyday there has been some type of issue with his body fighting this cold. We’re now at the point to where his left lung is collapsing more and more and since he needs respiratory support, it was time to go with the trach. This will allow him to breathe better and many other benefits.
Our main concern in sedation. With kids like Hudson it’s always a heightened risk.

You know that we never ask for anything at all besides prayers. During this time I am asking for the smallest donation so that we can keep up on our bills while being in the hospital and Hudson’s unexpected surgery and recovery. For this surgery they are requiring both parents to be here for recovery because both of us need to be comfortable it’s all tracheotomy cares. With that being said Ryan can’t work during his recovery. If Hudson needs extra ventilatory support then after a week of healing here in Downey, we will be transferred to the picu in LA to learn the machines and follow up with our Pulmonologist.
