Shawns Hope

My name is Jamie, Shawns sister. I am desperate to get some help for my brother. This past July my brother 34 years old  nearly lost his life in a swimming accident which left him Paralyzed from the chest down. Shawn was also in a coma for six weeks almost losing his life, now a few months later he is out of the hospital and we need special things for him terribly, we are not a family that comes from money so we don't have the extra funds to help him with the things he needs for his new everyday life,  he currently doesn't have a good wheel chair or bed, hes in a lot of pain with the chair he has, he cries its so bad and in a lot of pain from the chair the hospital gave him. He also needs ramps for the house, or possibly down the road a wheel chair van to transfer him much easier.

             I am begging for any help you can give to him, even resources, we don't even know where to turn for things for him, advice, rehab, we have no idea. We feel like we were left in the dark after leaving the hospital to figure this out on our own.
