Nick's Foot Fight

The money given to this campaign will be used to offset the cost of emergency family travel and medical expenses during Nick's foot fight. Yes-- foot fight. Long story short, Nick Weaver, 14 years old, had a concrete wall fall on his right foot. The wall crushed his heel and managed to shear critical tissue and muscle off of his ankle and toes. Needless to say, his foot is in dire shape. This is an intricate and serious injury involving many surgeries and already emergency medical evacuation from multiple locations. Why was there a need for medical evacuation? The Weavers are missionaries in West Africa, where medical care is not as advanced as it is in the United States. The risk of infection and the need to see orthopedic specialists was pressing. The injury is ongoing and the road to recovery is long. Nick was transported out of West Africa on an air ambulance and now the rest of his family needs to return to the U.S. to support him in his recovery. The Weaver's are now using critical missionary support funds to finance their emergency travel needs.
