Help Kara Get Power Wheelchair for Independence

Hello. I am one of Kara and her family’s closest friends. My name is Amber Leahan and I am writing on behalf of a strong, very ill, young women and special friend, Kara Bennett.
As most of you may know she has a chronic illness, (mitochondrial disease) which unfortunately doesn’t have a cure and just progresses.
She has many needs daily just to keep her alive that many take for granted. This horrible disease took away her ability to eat, drink, stand, hold head up, breathe and worst of all ability to walk all within the past five years.
Anyway, there is a brand new motorized wheel chair available which is the lightest one ever made and unfortunately, her insurance will not cover it. The reason she would need a lightweight chair is because her Mom takes her to doctor appointments and outings and her mom needs to be able to lift it in and out of the car and assemble it rather than her usual manual transport chair so she can have the freedom she is longing.
It is called the Air Hawk.(I added the link for it below that shows pics, details, etc.) If anyone can help her donate to purchase this we would be very appreciative and you would be enabling her happiness in her very limited world.
