Mike has recently experienced a a series of setbacks that have caused him to be living in his truck with his dog, Chelsea. Due to a disability, Mike lives on a fixed income. He had planned to travel north for the winter, where he intended to park his truck on a friend's land. However, his truck caught on fire the day that he left, which left him stranded in a park, where he has been for the last two months. Although, the people who live near the park have been wonderful, he cannot stay there much longer. Because it is not safe, his truck is not legally drivable and it is a matter of time before the police impound it. This would leave Mike on the side of the road with his dog and belongings. Mike had no intention of asking for help from anyone. He did not want to mention his disability. Mike did not want anyone to know how dire his situation really is. And he certainly did not want to start a Go Fund Me page. But a beautiful friend of his, Brenda, forcefully talked him into it. And he knew that he had no choice. Mike has always been there for other people. In fact, I have heard him on the phone giving food to a lady who also lives in her car. Mike has been a big part of this group and has reached out to many of us. He is always there with a open mind and an open heart. Mike is not trying to buy a new vehicle but needs to get something that is reliable. It will not only be his transportation, but also, his home. Please donate to help Mike get a dependable vehicle for himself and Chelsea. They have been together for many years and it would be heartbreaking if they could not stay together.
