Support Margarita Berumen - Road To Recovery

Loma Linda Medical Center- Hospital Dear Friends and Family, This has been a humbling experience and I wanted to share that our mother is still in the Hospital with heart failure. We will try to summarize this sudden, life altering journey as best we can. On April 30th, My mom was rushed to the ER and had a seizure. During the seizure, she suffered a stroke and was recently diagnosed with takotsubo cardiomyopathy with Hypothyroidism's affecting her heart and neurological system. We apologize that we have not been able to keep everyone in the loop. We are not particularly good with social media and this has been very hard to talk about since our mom was very healthy. It started with a small pain in her bladder in the ER, but had progressed to pneumonía, ecoli infection, severe low sodium and low potassium, severe weakness, walking disability, brain fog and blurred memory. What has happened is beyond comprehension and we are all still in shock. Understandably both My Dad (Antonio Montes), my self and siblings are devastated and struggling to cope with the situation.Our mother, a wife, a grandmother, a sister, also known as "Mage" amongst family and friends, is one of the most jovial person ready to help anyone and everyone at all situations is in need of your support. Recovery will be long for her and our Father is driving 45 minutes a day to go see our mother daily. While emotional healing will take time, Margarita aka Mage was the only earning supporter and her sudden illness have left our father in financial distress.So for the future well being of both my mother and father, we are starting this fund to help my dependent father and mother and provide some financial support to get through this difficult phase. We are asking for your generosity to help them get through this intensive time since she still remains in the hospital. There is no real treatment for takotsubo cardiomyopathy since she is 71 years old, but doctors say she has a chance and real hope to recover. If there’s any amount you can donate, she will be forever grateful and they both will do anything in their power to return the favor. Our great hope is that she will be well again and able to pay it forward. If you can not support her monetarily, I hope you can support her in your thoughts and prayers. It would mean so much to her that you would hold her in your mind and a small prayer, she knows this is powerful! As her children, we are trying the best we can to help and support.
