Tinas Funeral

Hello Everyone,
My mom, Tina Williams, passed last night (5/17) After many years of work as a life-changing social worker at the MAC and then at On the Rise, she died without any financial resources. She had been battling cancer for five years, but last year when she had brain surgery, we missed a few payments on her life insurance policy, and it was cancelled. When we tried to re-apply, it was denied because of her pre-existing condition.
My mother worked with people who were facing not only poverty, but also illness, homelessness, reintegration from incarceration, and hopelessness. She worked every day helping people who were being crushed by the system find their way. She was an incredibly strong person who inspired hope in all of us.
I need your help now so that I can have a funeral and burial for my mom. Thank you for whatever you can do to help.
Tina’s daughter, Ariel
