For nearly 23 years I lived my life in the darkness. The day I came out as transgender was the first day I felt the warmth and goodness of light. Through ups and downs, times of growth, joy, sorrow, pain, introspection, and love, I have grown and evolved in transition. Now I’m at the point where having my gender affirming surgery is the next necessary chapter. Being united in body, mind, and spirit is essential to being able to live my best, most authentic life.
