Help the Lomeli's fight leukemia

On May 15th, 2012, my brother Santiago Lomeli was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  This is a type of cancer characterized by the rapid growth of abnormal white blood cells that accumulate in the bone marrow and interfere with the production of normal blood cells. 

One day in June he came to visit the family and we instantly knew something was wrong.  From May to June he had already lost more than 20 lbs.  He had lost much of his appetite and was experiencing frequent episodes of fatigue.  Leukemia was taking its toll on my brother and little did he know the battle had just started. 

He was quickly admitted to Stanford Medical Center where he spent a little over a month hospitalized, receiving blood transfusions, chemotherapy, continuous blood work, and lots of encouragement from friends, family, doctors and nurses.  In the meantime, every member of the family was tested to see if anyone would be a match for my brother for a bone marrow transplant.  After weeks of waiting, alas, two matches were found and we are now waiting for a bone marrow transplant. 

Insurance has been covering some of the lab, chemo, and hospital bills; however, my brother's portion of the bill is too large to pay on our own.  My brother is required to pay a $1,400.00 co-pay for this much needed bone marrow transplant to happen.  We have never asked for much, we are a humble and loyal family, but today we are asking for help.
