Jared Hager Recovery Fund

Jared Hager, my identical twin brother, was injured doing what he loves -- skateboarding. While out in Palm Spring for the day to ride some perfect terrain with friends, Jared took a hard fall while trying to slow himself down. He suffered severe head trauma and was admitted into Desert Regional Medical Center immediately. Two blood clots developed within his brain and an emergency craniotomy was performed. Alongside a ruptured ear drum and a small fracture to his temple. Surgery went well and he is now stable and on the mend. Our mother, Mary Young, made the drive down from Lincoln City, Oregon and has not left Jared's side. Our older brother, Ryan and his girlfriend, Maggie, have also spent countless hours with him so far. Day and night.
Jared and myself have spent the past 16 years dedicated to the art and craft of servitude to skateboarding and our community. From our years with Visalia YMCA Skate Camp/Elemental Awareness, where we taught kids skateboarding and wilderness survival skills, to running our own brand (Hager Brother Solutions), where we are able to help, build, and create for people on a large or small scale.
Jared is a very heartfelt, charismatic, giving, and intelligent man. He selflessly and constantly keeps his eye open for anyone in his line of vision who may need a hand.
Jared needs our help. Medical bills and costs of care and recovery will be mounting soon enough. Though Jared and I work hard with our carpentry lemonade stand, we don't make near enough to handle the weight of something like this. Anything helps. I am starting this campaign at $250,000.00. I don't know enough about costs yet, and after talking with the father of a friend who suffered a similar accident, he advised starting with that amount is a good call. My heart aches for my twin, but I know he will bounce back 100%.
