Hi Friends!

On August 18, 1995, I left California for my dream school, Howard University, in Washington, DC.  I've been in school for what seems like forever, and it has resulted in a pretty exciting life.  My first Bachelor's degree afforded me the amazing opportunity to work as an office manager at a high end architectural design firm, and shortly thereafter, as a "microbiologist" at a biopharmaceutical company.  My second Bachelor's degree, also from Howard, afforded me the greatest opportunity of all- to physically assist those in need with my nursing skills.  However, through all of my nursing experience, I never felt complete, as I never fulfilled the dream that God placed in my heart at the age of 9 "“ to become a doctor.

On July 18, 2009, I left Washington D.C  for Arizona to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor.  Medical school has been the hardest thing that I've ever done, but for good reason.  Now, with graduation a mere 8 months away, I have been informed that I have reached my limit of government issued student loans, and that I have maxed out at $225,000.00!  I have exhausted every single resource in the past few months, and I've been unable to secure private loans, other educational loans, jobs, or scholarships.  At this point, I am truly desperate, for those who know me really well, know that it is difficult for me to swallow my pride and reach out in a forum like this.  However, my Grandma Sylvia would always say that my pride would keep me out of Heaven, so I am letting go and trusting God to provide, for He always has.

I know that becoming a doctor is God's plan for me, as He planted the desire for me to help people, especially with their health ailments. I will never forget the day that my friend LaLonnie's sister was struck by a car, because besides panic and fear, I felt the inclination and an overwhelming desire to run over and assess her, give CPR, and help her get better "“ all at the age of 9!  Of course I did none of this, but the desire to teach people and provide what's needed for their bodies to thrive has never left me.  I have been trying to realize this dream since the age of 18, but with no mentors and little direction, I had to create my own path. I've taken a few life-changing detours, all of which have assured me that there's nothing more that I'd rather do, and I'm almost there.  After years of hard work and struggle, my dream may never be realized, because I still have 8 months of school left, which translates to approximately $25,000.00.  I am reaching out to you to help complete my medical education, because I am in dire need, and I have exhausted every single possibility.

Please consider helping me raise $25,000.00 by donating any amount to my medical education.  It has been the hardest, most humbling experience to ask for your help.  Even a donation of $1.00 is more than I have at this point, and if 100 people donate $1.00, then that's $100.00!  Most of all, I need your prayers that God will provide when there seems like no way.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.  By helping me, you will eventually help the many people that I plan to help with natural medicine. Please pray that I get the money that is needed for school, as there are several deadlines in place.  I know God will make it so, for He always has.  Have a super day!

Love,

De
