Let's Help the Lopez Family
Dear family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances I've had the pleasure to meet:
I
have never done this before so I hope that you can treat this message with
patience and a curious ear.
I
have some friends, the Lopez's, who have fallen upon some tough financial times.
They are legal immigrants in this country who work with kids in the urban
context through Christian ministry, but given their current legal status (which is "pending" b/c of visa paperwork),
making financial ends meet has become extremely difficult if not impossible.
They
are waiting for their visa paperwork to come through from the government so
that they can work legally in the U.S. but until then, they cannot work in any
capacity. They want to abide by the law and so are presently, and only presently,
relying completely on donations of any kind to meet their financial needs. This
need will only last a short time, but it is an immediate one "“ for expenses for
the month of November, most immediately this month's rent totaling $1,294.
I
am not asking for any specific amount of money, but am asking for you to consider
giving any amount you feel compelled to donate to their family and/or keeping
them in your thoughts and prayers. Anything will help - money, spreading the
word, prayers "“ anything.
I am writing with a great hope that they would be surprised and blessed by the generosity of my friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances. And I hope that I in turn with be surprised that something as small as asking can satisfy something as big as their needs.
Please join with me in praying for, thinking about and/or donating to my friends, the Lopez's. If you would like more information about the Lopez's and their needs, please visit their ministry page but please do NOT donate directly through this website (as it will not get to them immediately but much later), but rather
PLEASE DONATE ONLINE THROUGH THIS GO FUND ME PAGE!
Thank
you in advance for your time, attention and gifts!
If you have ANY questions, please feel free to e-mail me.
Sincerely,
Tomi
