Rock My GMC RV
Sally and I just signed a
contract to have our GMC motor home completely rebuilt for a TV show kind of
like the show, Overhauling. However the show could not do any of the mechanical
work that we needed to have completed, so we are sending it to Newark Ca to Jim
K at Applied GMC install a new motor, transmission and final drive and some
other miscellaneous mechanical work. We estimate that this will
cost us about $10,000 to 11,000 including the flatbed out to CA. Then off to LA
for the show. The show is going to be called "Rock My RV" and will be hosted by
"Bret Michaels" It will air on the Travel Channel in 2013. All I can say is
this is very cool. As some of you know I had some major health issues last year
at this time and we have depleted any savings that we had. We felt that we couldn't pass up this opportunity.
However we had to borrow money from Family to get the ball rolling as the show
needed a running and operating RV. We will need to pay that money back. We also
need to be able to pay the taxes on the value of the work and all the custom
items they end up putting in the motor home. We are not sure what these cost
may end up being as of yet, but if they put $100,000 into the GMC we could potentially
have to pay $30,000 in taxes approximately? So we are looking for help to get
these expenses covered. This is hard for us since we have never asked for
anything like this before. We have asked many of you to help support causes
that we are involved in and you have always been there. We are setting our goal
high $$30,000, since we have no idea of what to expect. To read more about Sally and me and the cause's
