Donna Araujo Family Fund
The Mike and Donna Araujo Family is in need of our assistance. Donna has been fighting breast cancer this past year but, unfortunately, it has spread to her brain. The Araujos have two lovely daughters Isabela, ten, and Sophia, seven. Mike is a pilot with American Airlines and I have asked his fellow pilots to donate vacation days to help out their family, but I would also like my friends and Mike's and Donna's to be able to help the Araujo's as well with GoFundMe donations.
It's been
a lousy year for them to say the least. Donna was diagnosed with breast cancer
last October and underwent chemo, double mastectomy, and radiation. Seemingly
in the clear, in July, she experienced headaches and loss of vision. The
diagnosis was brain cancer and was shortly followed by heavier doses of chemo
and radiation. Recently, she decided to terminate the chemo and radiation as it
was not working. She wants to have her last days clear of it's side effects and
to spend quality time with Mike and their little girls. She is currently at home
with hospice assistance with Mike who is on Reserve trying to keep it all
together. Don't think I need to elaborate more but there are even tougher times
ahead for them.
