PICA, DBA Grace Acad. New Location
The children of PICA/GRACE need your help!
P.I.C.A. (as of June 1, 2015) is dba as Grace Academy and is a nonprofit ministry that serves families in the area of Christian education. It was established in 2008 and was funded by P. Bill Schmidt and his family who worked as volunteers. Through the years others have come alongside the ministry with enthusiasm and dedication making the ministry efforts that much more effective. It has been amazing to see the outcome of their faithful labor: students have come to know that God loves and has a plan for them. They have become more confident and successful in the area of academics, and they have been given a hope for their future.
In January 2015 Pastor Bill & Mrs. Paula were recruited to assume the responisbility of Grace Academy and to have a church in the same 3 story facility owned by the Ji Foundation. In June 2015 the school will be under Providence Intl. Church Ministries & Christian Academy (PICA) through a colabrotive with the James Ji foundation, our benifactor.
P.I.C.A./Grace utilizes an individualized approach to learning, helping students to excel at their own pace. Students who are highly motivated can soar without restrictions while those who require more help can get the attention they need. Small class sizes and individualized attention are what makes the program special and effective. Couple the unique learning system with the character training based on Biblical principles and you get awesome results. P.I.C.A. /Grace also serves children with special needs/learning disabilities, children who have been emotionally damaged, or need extra care.
These past years P.I.C.A. has been actively searching for a suitable location in which to operate. Throughout their searching and many moves there came a time when they didn't know if it would be possible to find a place that would meet all the needs/requirements of the school and church ministry. They had become discouraged at the realities before them: either find a suitable location or close. The thought of closing and displacing the children was devastating. This is what ignited the will to pray for this non-profit ministry with all that was in them.
Hope is on the horizon as now a suitable location has been found! This location provides for an assembly area, adequate outdoor play space and larger classrooms. This location holds up to 200 students and a Bible Insitute is in the works.
$6000 before Aug 1st. So we can finishs the 6 bathrooms to upgrade to meet the new requirements. Most the labor is donated. Home Depot will give us a discount.
