On September 26, 2012 the world endured a great loss. Julian Pena a 29 years old Navy Veteran was murdered outside MOMO's Sports Bar in Holbrook NY. Julian Pena and a fellow coworker met at MOMOS for a couple of drinks after work. The coworker was on his way out the bar when Julian went after him to assure that he did not drive until he sobered up. The two then walked to the 7-11 across the street. A group of men who had been drinking in the parking lot of MOMOS tried to enter the bar and was turned away by the bouncer. While Julian and his coworker walked back from the 7-11 they crossed paths with the group of men. Words were exchanged and two men attacked Julians coworker.Julian being a protector that he is jumped in, to relieve his coworker. Robert Gregory identified as the killer pulled out a knife and stabbed Julian two times in the chest. By time the ambulance arrived Julian was still trying to hold on and unfortunatly he did not make it. Julian Pena was a one in a million guy. He was a fighter and never second guessed to help anyone out, he an amazing friend, outstanding father, strong family member and an all around honorable , good person who was taken from us far too soon. Julian was a very humble man always offering his assistance.Julian always wanted to be a father and cherished the day he bacame one. Now he leaves behind a 2yr old son who will always be reminded of what a great man his father was. He will forever be missed and loved by his friends and family. Any contributions made towards any funeral cost and Jaedens educational future will greatly be appreciated. Once again thank you to everyone for the ongoing support.
