18U AA State Championship-Trip to Nationals

For the first time in program history, a Northern Michigan United hockey team has won the State Championship. The team is headed to Maple Grove, Minnesota March 30- April 3, 2023 to represent Michigan. During the high school hockey season, these boys play for their respective high schools, but before that happens they make up the NMU hockey team. They come together in the fall from all over Northern Michigan to form a team. There are kids from Traverse City, Alpena, Cheboygan, Gaylord, Negaunee, Tawas, Cadillac, Kingsley, Mancelona, and Elk Rapids. This is a very special team. Prior to winning the State Championship, in which they were undefeated winning all six games, they won the Veterans Cup Tournament and the Early Bird Tournament. Please consider making a donation to help the boys with expenses for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Donations will help players with transportation, lodging, meals and tournament fees.
