UPDA As the description below will give full detail as to what Honey needed to have done to her right back leg, there are updates as to what the next step is with her left leg. We had Honey's 2 month re-check on June 5. They are wanting to do the same surgery on her left knee, as the ligament is tearing in that knee as well. My grandfather got assistance from our Humane Society for the previous surgery and it's one time help. So here I am asking for help with getting her other one done as well. Surgery date is set for June 25th at Buckley Animal Hospital and the overnight recovery is at Sumner Animal Hospital. Donations can be made here, as well as to those vets specifically over the phone.

TPLO: Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy; where the dog has torn their Cranial Cruciate Ligament (dog ACL).
When a dog tears its ACL, every time the dog goes to stand or put weight on the leg, the femur slides/rubs on the back of the tibia. This rubbing causes pain and inflammation, which is uncomfortable and can cause Arthritis and cause the dog to become lame if left untreated.
Buckley Veterinary Clinic is willing to do the surgery for $3,332. They are providing her with over night care, which they don't usually do.
