Please support the Lyndon Lightning's dream to participate in Cooperstown Dreams Park 2014! Based in Louisville, KY, this team of eleven young boys has been playing competitive baseball for the Lightning since its inception in 2010. Now approaching their fifth season, they've earned the reputation as not only a talented team of players with dedicated coaches but also one of exceptional character and sportsmanship. They have a deep love for the game and want nothing more than the opportunity to play competitively whenever they can.
Cooperstown represents everything these boys have ever wanted and would be the highlight of their baseball journey leaving them with memories for a lifetime.
Participation in Cooperstown's games can only happen once in a child's life...at the age of twelve. It is something most players dream about but never get to realize. The expenses are considerable, with players' costs alone at approximately $1,500 each. The boys are willing to work hard and have already begun grass root efforts to help raise some of the funds. While our fundraising goals are high, they are intended to cover only a portion of the total cost of the players' fees. Travel and accommodation expenses along with other Cooperstown fees are the responsibilities of each individual family.
