12 Tattoos Family fund for Dawn Whitham-Hartley
Donation protected
In honor of National Brain Tumor Awareness Month, we are encouraging our community to support someone close to us. Dawn Whitham-Hartley was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer in 2016.
Dawn has been a loyal friend and associate with Steven Tefft and 12 Tattoos for over 20 years. We have all decided that instead of donating to a non profit this month we can help one of our own/our family.
Dawn has regular treatments, surgeries, testing, blood work and more done at Smilow Cancer Hospital - Yale New Haven Health. We all know she is a fighter as well. She thankfully has insurance but her visits require extremely high copay's. She has been through radiation as well as open skull surgery. She now has to undergo immunotherapy and testing and scanning every 3 weeks.
Those who know Dawn can vouch she is a real life Rocky. (her favorite movies too!) Dawn has excelled at everything she has chosen. She's been a successful prof body builder, an accomplished track athlete, trumpet player, a great marksman and an amazing artist and tattooer. She says about her treatment "Days get really rough sometimes....but i power n warrior through."
Dawn has some challenges ahead and will eventually need to put a stop her livelihood, tattooing. We are asking for your help so our family member Dawn can use the time ahead to have the energy to fight this, GET HEALTHY, spend time with his new husband and all of our wonderful friends –
If anyone can get through this, we know Dawn can because she's a strong fighter. But she needs the support, prayers and the funds that will allow trying every option available.
ANY AMOUNT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
