fundraiser for my mom funeral expenses

On Sunday August 12, 2012, my mother, Irma Calderon, lost her battle with an advanced form of ALS (Lou Gherig's disease).  If you are familiar with the disease, you know what a horrific, debilitating disease this  is for the individual, as well as the individual's family and friends.  We tried to prepare financially for her eventual passing after having learned her diagnosis in April; however, we had not planned for the disease to take her away from us so quickly, and instead spent our time with her these past few months making her as comfortable as possible. This has been a particularly hard few years for the family, having lost Irma's youngest son my brother Jose in 2007 to drowning, and Irma's mom our grandmother in March of this year, just a month before Irma's diagnosis.  At this time, the family cannot afford to pay for my mother's funeral service.

I am asking for any help you are able to give in order to help us provide my mother a proper memorial service, I am currently out of work and cannot do this on my own.  She was a wonderful, caring, hard working person.  She was a mother, grandmother, friend and the glue that kept our family together.  My hope is that I can give her the funeral that exemplifies all that she was to me and the rest of our family.
