Alstrom Syndrome International is having there 7th family conference, medical research clinic, and scientific symposium in Plymouth, Massachusetts on May 9-13, 2013.  Will you please help us raise money so we can attend? Rylee is 1 out of about 800 cases known worldwide.

Alstrom Syndrome is a rare, multisystemic genetic disorder exibiting cone-rod dystrophy(early nystagmus, blindness), hearing loss, obesity, insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia, type 2 diabetes mellitus, dilated cardiomyopathy, and progressive hepatic and renal dysfunction.

 

Alstrom Syndrome is an autosomal recessive, single gene disorder caused by mutations in ALMS1 (Chr2p13), a novel gene of currently unknown molecular.
