10kg weighted Half Marathon - SMA-LED

Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share something close to my heart with all of you. My daughter, Amber, was born with a rare condition called SMA-LED – a form of Spinal Muscular Atrophy that presents unique challenges for her every day.

On October 1st, I'm taking on an ambitious endeavor – the Great Scottish Run. But here's the twist: I'll be running the half marathon distance wearing a 10kg weight vest. This symbolic gesture represents the added weight that kids like Amber and their families carry in their lives every day.
