100k in May - for Mrs Markwick's Y1 Botanists!

I'm Mrs Markwick and I teach Year One at St Thomas' Primary School in Lydiate. I am running 3K a day in May. Any sponsorship I receive for this will be used to purchase raised bedding and the necessary resources for the outdoor area in the class I teach.

During lockdown, my family and I have enjoyed experimenting growing our own food including sweetcorn, peas, lettuce and tomatoes as our garden became such a focal point of our daily lives. My windowsills are currently full of this year's plants shielding from the cold! Watching my children's faces each day as the plants grow a little taller brings back such fond memories of picking peas in my grandparent's garden and I would love to bring the awe and wonder of gardening to our outdoor provision in Year One.
