1,000 miles for RJ

Donation protected
RJ Ahlers is our son that was born with two incredible rare conditions. The first is Tetrasomy 9 Mosaic Syndrome (there are only 34 people in the world with this) the second is Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. He was born with a hole in his heart, the center of his brain 95% underdeveloped, and he has had brain surgery. 50% of babies with Tetrasomy 9 Mosaic Syndrome do not reach the age of 2 years old. Because of the incredible past love of the world for Baby RJ and the nine Specialist Doctors he has he is now to the age of 20 months old.
Starting July 17th KC Ahlers (RJ's Father) will walk 1,000 miles on the Ice Age Trail as a fundraiser for his son and millions of people around the world with Chromosome Disorders. Half of the funds raised by this will go to the future medical expenses and care of Baby RJ. The other half will be donated for Chromosome Disorder Research. This covers Down Syndrome, Tetrasomy, and Trisomy Disorders. Please help us to raise money for Baby RJ and to help so many with Chromosome Disorders.

Gofundme tells us to explain how urgent this fundraiser is. I am doing this walk to show my son that anything can be accomplished with strong will, and determination. Chromosome Disorders are largely not talked about, or brushed under the carpet. This is Urgent for all of us who have a loved one that has Chromosome Disorders, help us get the research that may make this a thing of the past for future generations. There is NO CURE, just management and only together with strong will and determination can we all make a positive difference in the future.
