100 holes

My name is Cameron Swartz and I’ve been a junior golf member of the SFPGA since I was 13 years old. I’ve been playing golf since I was 9. To say the SFPGA helped, inspired, and motivated me in my journey of playing this crazy game would be an understatement. Through their PGA Professionals, junior league, and competitive tournaments, my skills have not only been honed in, but my attitude towards the sport of golf has, as well. This is exactly why I’ve chosen to partner with them in my endeavor to play 100 HOLES OF GOLF this summer on July 18th. 

Back in November 2013 my brother Harrison spent one week at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital upon receiving his Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis.  It was a rotten week, but my family and I have come so far and it is a distant memory but one we will never forget. Everyday after school I would come down to Hollywood with my Grandma or Dad to visit Harrison bringing stories from my day at school…but also playing with a fisher price golf set in the play area of the pediatrics unit. 

Today, I am an avid golfer and have decided to partner with the South Florida PGA and their Smiling Fore Life Charity to provide young hospital patients an outlet to escape the hardships they are facing, and forget the struggles they are having.  The funds I will raise will help to get young kids out of their hospital rooms and out to enjoy a fun and new activity: GOLF!  Help me support Smiling FORE Life!
