It is with great excitement that I get to share this journey with you. Over the past few months God has opened the door for me to attend Chicago Masters Commission for the next year (September 6 - May 5). Chicago Masters is a nine month discipleship and missions training program
in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago.
Together as a team we work on serving in and out of the church (nursery,children's ministry, Youth, cleaning, ect.). I have chosen to take the youth ministry track and worship track. We are being trained to build a youth ministry and worship ministry from the ground up. Together we will create dramas, sermons, and lead worship. We will compose and write a worship song, and then lead worship for Bible study. We will also be in charge of putting on and leading a youth confrence.
Chicago Masters is associated with New Life Covenant Church here in Humboldt Park.
The opportunity is incredible, but very costly. I need to raise $1,331.00 in order to make this possible. This amount started at $5,300. I have done what I can to work and save, but I still need your help.
This is a door that without a doubt I believe God opened for me, and I am asking you to come along side me with your support and encouragement as I continue to take this leap of faith. Accepting this has been a huge challenge for me. I moved to a neighborhood that is not the safest, I made a commitment to not work, or talk to guys, and I'm believing God for my every need. I know this is God and He is stretching me. He is calling my name to grow even deeper with him. He is calling me to arise in Him, so that He can arise in me, so that with Him I can see miracles happen in the hearts of our young people. To me this is so much more than a school, but it's my dream of working with the youth and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people. It's all about seeing teenagers dance for Jesus and hunger and thirst for him. It's about seeing lives restored, salvation received, and healing to hearts.
