Exeter University GO Society Fundraising Campaign

Hi,
We are Rasul Verdi, and Ben Bwye and we are the proud founders of the New Exeter University GO Society. We created this society to bring the Game of GO to the university under a unified community of players from all over. We have a full team of 4 so far with us two included. The other members of our team are fellow Uni students Xu Hanxi and Bank Lertkovit. We are all working together to achieve a goal of a larger GO Community within the University!
GO is an abstract strategy game played by 2 players on a 19x19 point board. Each player takes turns placing a stone (White and Black respectively) in order to amass the most territory and win.
We have recently been successful in our application to become recognized as a society within our University. We have a very fresh Facebook page that will be consistently updated and maintained (https://www.facebook.com/GOSocietyUoE/)
We have also successfully received a loan of kit from the British GO Association, and are actively searching for other sponsorship opportunities to promote our group and expand our member base.
We hope to use the money gained from this crowdfunding campaign to begin launching events for our players, such as tournaments and socials. We want to start collaborating with other University GO teams such as Warwick or the up and coming Reading team.
We also want to start working on merchandise for our group to promote a sense of community. Things such as hoodies, and shirts! We hope these will help our members feel like they are part of something that is truly together.
