This campaign is all about gaining enough capital to make my own path and forge what I see is needed in this world. As a health professional, I have been looking for the best place where my talents will meet the world’s needs. Currently, I am moving in the direction of health education. Through my time working in health promotion, public health, and K-12 school Health & Physical Education, I am noticing that the health education world is fragmented; it lacks continuity by heavily relying on the family structure to provide optimal health behavior. I have decided to start my own health blog/website and take the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) examination (check out the video linked below!).
In order to achieve my goals, I need your financial help. The deadline for my campaign is March 15th. I have started the blog and will be taking the CHES examination in April.
Doing both the blog and the CHES will open my horizons, expand my legitimacy, grow/solidify my health knowledge (and education knowledge), and enable myself to complete the website. It will be enormously helpful and will provide me with many opportunities in the future. Both the CHES and the website will help my family, my career, and myself. Moreover, not only will it help those I teach, but it will also help me by keeping up to date on current health trends and information.
