DACA

I deserve to stay here. I have worked as hard as possible to make my life here the best it can be. I have grown up in Arizona since I was a three month old and I consider this place my eternal home. Always and forever. I know these streets like the back of my hand now. 

And yet, I have a time limit.

I don't want to leave. Our immigration system is broken. So darn broken it's utterly ridiculous. 

I hope I'm good people. I believe I am. I have the most amazing friends in the world by my side cheering me on and I can cheer them on as well.

So why?

Why?

Our administration has been a disaster since it started, undoing the previous President's policies. There are those that fight. Those that resist. Those that challenge. Those are the heroes. We must celebrate them. 

I thank those who have resisted. With this tiny sliver of hope, I hope to reapply for another 2 years of deferred action, stay and my work permit. I've had my paperwork ready since September of 2017...

Maybe soon an actual path to citizenship can appear. So many people like myself need it. Good hardworking individuals who know that they worked hard, created a life for themselves and don't want that life taken away.
