Hospital Bills & Cancer Treatment

My wife Lisa was experiencing strange behavior for the past several weeks, upon taking her to the emergency center 13 March, they did a CT Scan and found a large mass on her brain. After attending Dr. finally found a bed at Neuro ICU - Zale Lipshy University Hospital Dallas, Texas she was transported there for immediate treatment. After a day of steroids and other treatments they finally got the swelling in her brain to go down so she could function somewhat normally and possibly prevented blood clots or stroke.
After MRI, Neurosurgeon stated tumor needed to be removed, and she scheduled surgery for 20 March. 19 March our insurance company called hospital telling them my wife needed to be moved to a "in network" hospital even though they authorized her transfer here. Case worker explained the in network hospital had no beds nor a surgeon who could perform this type surgery. Further telling them it was against doctors advice that Lisa be moved anywhere until after surgery which was less than 15 hrs away.
While Lisa was in surgery insurance company finally called me which they had not done before telling me we now are responsible for all costs as they will not pay.
After pathology test of the tumor, Lisa was diagnosed with glioblastoma grade IV, an aggressive brain tumor. Radiation and ChemoTreatments will be on going for close to 1 year. We would be appreciative to get help paying the astronomical bills that will soon be rolling in any day that insurance company will not pay. In the mean time I will be fighting hard with insurance company trying to get answers and some type of payments.
