CANCER SURGERY ADDITIONAL. COSTS.
Hi Everyone. I have just had my Testicular Cancer Surgery to remove the Testicle! Please read.
as you may remember I was having surgery on Thursday 16th October for Orchiectomy ( Removal of Testicle ). After being postponed 2 times in total the day finally arrived. Its just 2 hrs after the surgery which was only meant to last 30mins! 2 hours later I was back on the ward pumped full of pain relief and still affected by the General Anesthetic .
The surgery has been paid for privately due to ' No Cover ' by travel insurance because of previous & existing health conditions.
The Testicle was removed along with all tubing, blood vessels and nerves to the right testicle. The surgeon was reluctant to cut anything removed from the surgery as it was extremely odd looking ( his exact words ). The entire removed organ has been sent to Histology for diagnosis 100%.
I'm now unable to travel back to the UK for around 3-4 weeks and must begin ' Hormone Replacement Therapy ' as I'm no longer able to produce Testosterone! This is a very important part of how a mans body functions.
Along with the replacement therapy I'm scheduled for Chemotherapy session to ensure that there is no further unseen risk.
Originally funding for the surgery was raised, thanks to those whom supported me.
Now stuck with no return Ferry after being cancelled 2 times (£300 each time ) due to the postponed surgery days . Along with the poor exchange rate in the Czech Republic, GoFundMe Commission, Travel, Accommodation & Post Op Treatment, Re Arranging my own Prescribed Medication I'm now unable to complete the remaining Treatment that was not originally counted in the Fundraising Campaign.
I just don't have the money to cover the extra expenses due to delays !
Here is just 1 Day of Medication for me without any new ones I will have to have, 43 Tablets, 20ml Liquid Morphine and 40ml Liquid
I have to now obtain replacement medication for another 30 days! Obviously getting opiates means seeing a different type of Doctor as the Urologist is unable to prescribe these particular drugs!
Please help to raise the remaining money for the unforeseen costs I now face. Not only am I in a lot of pain but the stress is probably not helping.
You might think by looking at me that I'm really happy ? No but it's amazing what General Anesthetic and being pumped with drugs makes you seem ! The difference is that I can't stay pumped full of drugs. Reality is I fear that all this would have been for nothing without the completion of treatment.
The amount of money to cover the cost of medication, further treatment and to return home is approximately £1500 ( after fees, exchange rates and costs hence higher amount in Goal ) the amount for the cost of a normal level of life!
Please help me complete the remaining treatment. Remember this saying:
Whom ever wrote this was either extremely rich or just wanted to be famous for the quote !
" As without money I can't complete my treatment! That will make those around me sad & unhappy ! That will make me unhappy knowing it ! As far as last year I didn't have to have my surgery done. " Everything in this type of statement is wrong!
