Everybody Eats was founded on the belief that access to affordable and nutritious meals should not be a luxury. That is why our team is creating a food delivery service that is inclusive of food-insecure customers. It's simple: Every meal ordered on our platform helps to pay for a meal for someone struggling to eat. Food-insecure customers get the same quality meals at a significantly discounted price.
Where do we begin? College campuses! As a team of college students and recent graduates, we understand the seriousness of hunger on college campuses. With 36% of college students identifying as food-insecure, it's time we stop considering 99 cent ramen as a quality meal for hard-working students. With our platform, customers who order on our platform can help bridge the meal gaps on their own campuses! Making a positive impact in your community became as easy as ordering food for yourself.
To make this happen, we need your support. First, we need funding to popularize our platform and support hungry students in our first year of operations. Second, we need you to help connect us with college students in New York City! If you have any connections to major campus organizations or university leadership, an introduction with our team would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your support of our current efforts thus far! While we work towards getting our website ready for service, we strive to make impact in our community in whatever way we can. For the last two years, we have been able to feed and provide warm clothes to over 250 people in the Harlem, NYC community at our annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. What matters most to us is showing everybody that they're important, starting with a delicious meal!
