European Junior Champion Clubs Cup

Sli Cualann are very excited to announce that our junior women’s squad have been selected to compete at the European Clubs Cup in Leiria, Portugal in September. 

The Junior Women’s Team, which includes double Irish Schools medallist Amaris Borel and Irish Schools 1500m Champion Emma O’Brien, were chosen to be the Irish representative club at the Championships in Leiria due to their strong performances during the 2014 campaign.

The competition, which will take place on September 19, pits some of the top clubs in Europe against each other and will be a great experience for our young athletes to get an opportunity to compete at an international level.

A team of 25 will travel to the event, which will include 19 athletes with 6 managers and coaches. All athletes are aged 16 - 19 and are hugely excited at the prospect of representing their club and country in such a prestigious event.

The money raised will part fund the trip and will cover costs of flights and accommodation. All money raised from thissite will go directly to Sli Cualann Athletics Club.
