This Round House Creative Center

Donation protected
This Round House was conceived and built by Roy Wilson and his family in the late 60's early 70's, and yes, it is a round house! Unfortunately, the space has come to into much disrepair, and is in need of some tender loving  care. (which she well deserves) Our desire is to carry Roy's unique perspective, joy, and levity with us in our new vision for the space.

We are working to transform this incredible space into a small fiber farm and creative center. The farm will eventually be home to alpacas and pygora goats, two animal breeds who have amazing fiber for spinning and other fiber works. The goal is to share the sustainable process of farm fiber  to fashion, with local schools. We also envision the space for local artists to share their skills through teaching classes, as well as a small sales floor.

I am but one woman, and I am getting to a point in the project where I just can't do it alone. I need your help.

As you can see from the above photo, I definetly have skin in the game.

Here is how your  donations will be used:
-grade and install a gravel drive and parking
-tables and chairs for classroom
-additional fencing and posts to increase the pasture
-classroom and bathroom plumbing
-utility sink

Our biggest one item expense, at this time,  is the driveway, an estimated cost of $2,500.

We see This Round House being an asset for our creative community to connect as well as an inspiration to others to reach for their dreams and make them a reality.

Big Love & Smiles to All,
Brenda

Progress and Wish List
the progress...before.... raccoon infested dining room and kitchen.

now... transitioning to classroomThe straight walls are finished with dismantled pallet boards...have you ever taken a pallet apart? Serious work, but so worth the effort! The curved walls, remember it's a round house, are covered with reclaimed corrugated tin. I went on a tin hunt one day on the property. It was just like hunting morels, you find one, there has to be more around the area. SCORE!

This guy was inside, my husband was outside!!  Did I mention the racoons?
