Lilly's brave fight with Ependymoma (cancer)❤️

“Hi, I’m Lilly. ❤️I am 5 and I was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor a size of a tangerine “

It was right before Christmas, Lilly fell ill and caught bronchitis and an ear infection. She was prescribed with antibiotics and started to feel sick in the mornings and suffer from headaches with pain radiating from the back of her head. She went to see the doctors again and they agreed it must have been her ear still fighting with infection. She had some blood tests done as well and all came back fine.

But the stubborn morning sickness and headaches kept crawling back every few days.

On Thursday, she was getting ready for school (she goes to St.Margaret’s Primary school in Ipswitch), but she had such a bad headache, her mum had a very bad feeling about it and decided to take her to the hospital. She was seen by an eye doctor and upon examination she noticed an enema in Lilly’s head. Next thing they know Lilly and her mum were in an ambulance on their way to Adenbrook Hospital in Cambrige to see a pediatric oncologist. Next morning an MRI scan revealed a tumor a size of a tangerine pressing on her brain and causing the enema. On Tuesday Lilly underwent an all day long operation to remove the tumor.

My name is Kasia, and I’m a good friend of Lilly’s mum. In all my life I’ve never seen anyone so frightened as Lilly’s mum the day her little girl had an operation. And Lilly. She’s only 5, it’s all terribly confusing for her. She can’t eat, the sickness and pain are taking all the light from her eyes. Her beautiful smile is gone, she doesn’t even talk much now.

While you are reading this, Lilly’s tumor is being sent to the lab to be tested against malignant cancer cells. The nightmare is nowhere near being over yet.

We are all now praying for good news. And while we’re waiting, Lilly’s mum is struggling to provide financially for herself and Nicola, her other daughter. She’s spending every minute possible by Lilly’s side.

I decided to open this fund for Lilly’s mum to take of her shoulders at least this one struggle. If you can spare even just a pound, please do. It all counts!

I will post regular updates regarding Lilly’s health condition so that you’re up to date on her progress.

Thank you so much for reading this far! Every bit of support makes a difference!
Thank you ❤️
