ETHS Speech and Debate Team

Every winter our team attend the Harvard National Forensics Tournament in Cambridge, MA. This tournament represents an amazing opportunity for students to compete in one of the most competitive fields in the nation. Every speech and debate event is represented, and students are able to build academic, social, and debate skills while traveling to a new and exciting location. Although our team provides absolute financial assistance to all students, we could use your help to ensure that everyone who wants to attend the Harvard tournament can do so. It is important to us that all students, regardless of financial situation, have the opportunity to travel with and learn from their team. 

Speech and debate as an activity holds valuable insight for all involved. Practicing public speaking, writing arguments, and critical thinking gives students life-long skills. Students who are on the debate team make friends, learn, and work together to create an inviting and loving community.
