Jeff's car repair

This is Jeff, He is my son, He is on the Autism Spectrum. He just got his driver's license  earlier this year. We live out side of town in a rural little city. Last June I purchased a car for him from a small lot.  It was used and sold as is with an extended warrenty.  The car has had several major issues. We have been able to get some repair covered by the warranty. The cooling system needed replaced. It was in the shop for weeks to get this done. He got it back and it was still over heating and not drivable. We took it to another shop and they have had it for over a month.  I had to pay them $650 out of pocket to take the engine out and diagnose the problems. The head gaskets need replaced. This can be done  and is covered under warranty. They say that the turbo needs replaced due to the barings being shot (or something like that) and the fan blades are scraping against the walls. It will be another $2000- $2500 out of pocket for that.  They tell my son that it is a ticking time bomb. It can result in the whole engine blowing up if he drives it like it is. That would be thousands more dollars. 

His car provides freedom and inclusion. Something that Jeff has not known too much of. He gets a small monthly check from disabilty that pays the car payment and insurance. I work full time and I cover everything else. It is just him and I. I do not have anymore money to fix this car currently.  He needs it to find work and participate in life.  I am out of resources for "extra" money.  I feel wierd putting this out there with so much serious stuff going on in our world.  This car is an important part of Jeff's progress and  learning experience. I am just trying to get it back on the road for him.
