Steve's Trac-wheelchair Fund

My name is Steve Mireau. I am 33 years old and living with a spinal cord injury that occurred during a motocross practice session,  eight years ago.  I completely severed my spinal cord at my C-6 vertebra leaving me paralyzed from the neck down. I have limited mobility in my arms and no finger function.

I am raising money to obtain a track powered wheel chair. This wheel chair is designed for the outdoors. It has rubber tracks that will allow me to go through sand, snow,mud, water,up hills, over rocks, etc… The wheel chair offers me mobility to independently access places that I use to go,  and would like to get back to. These places include hunting out on my families land, getting out to the race track where I use to ride motocross to help teach new riders, going to the beach, fishing, and overall allowing me access and independence to the outdoors again.

I have been struggling to maneuver around in these places. My current wheel chair limits my mobility and the different types of activities I would like to get back to. Getting this track powered wheelchair will allow me to gain access to easier mobility at these sites, along with moving about independently.

Getting this track powered wheel chair means a lot to me because it will help me achieve my personal goals and bring a quality of life back into my daily routine.
I will be overfilled with joy because I will have more independence in the outdoors and be able to rekindle my relationships with friends and family in my passion for the outdoors.
