Dean's Medical Fund

Hello friends and family, Recently my dad, Dean Murray, has been diagnosed with Frontal Lobe Dementia. Frontal lobe dementia, also known as frontotemporal dementia, is a form of dementia that occurs when the frontal lobes of the brain begin to shrink. There isn't medication to slow the process down, so at this point it is progressing aggressively. For the past few years my family and I knew something wasn’t right with my dad, but we never thought this was the reason at the age of 53. At this point we are still in shock and trying to determine how to deal with this devastating situation. My dad has permanently been placed on long-term disability and is no longer able to drive. He’s lost a lot, but he wont lose our fight. We have come to terms with the very heartbreaking decision, that in-home care or placement in a facility that specializes in this disease may be our next step. With funds being tight due to my dad not working, its just me, my mom and the help of friends and family to give my dad the best life he could possibly have. Thank you to everyone who has stuck by my family’s side, and is continuing to do so. At this point the love and support we have gotten from everyone has kept us fighting.
