On  May 29th 2017 we walked into the ER worried, but never thought our world would be turned upside down. My wife Espy (short for Esperanza) is a loving mother, a dedicated wife, an amazing daughter, a loyal friend, and an all around great person.  A few months ago she felt under the weather we thought it was the flu. She went to her primary Dr and got treatment for possible pneumonia.  One month later a dry cough persisted followed by fatigue and weight loss. She was given stronger anti biotics but 2 weeks into it she didnt get any better. On may 29th she woke up in the morning a little puffy in the face and very tired. She took a nap and when she awoke her face was very swollen. We went to the ER and after alot of questions, and a cat scan they told us that she could not leave because they found fluid around her lungs, fluid around her heart, and swollen limphnodes. after a biopsy and blood work She was diagnosed with Mediastinal B-cell lymphoma. Her world was shaken to the core. She cried in fear, I stood their in shock, helpless to help her in any way. All I could do was tell her Be strong baby, dont worry we are going to fight this, I promise! On the inside i wept, but I could not cry or break down in front of her, I had to be her rock and her support. She is so young and we have a little girl that needs her mom to love her, play with her, and most of all be there for her. Due to her treatment she will not be working as much as she was and will possibly be On FMLA. Her insurance wont cover everything and there is some hardship that comes along with these situations, so we are asking for your Assistance. Help me keep my promise, anything that you can do to keep her hopes up would be a blessing.

From the bottom of our heart                             Thank you

its been 1 year since espys last chemo. Her hair has grown back since then, and life has been back on track. she started a new job in an amazing company and is doing her part to get out there and speak to people that went through what she has to show them that there is light at the end of the tunnel. we spend lots of time as a family especially at Espys and our daughters favorite place Disney. She is almost at 1 year remission in OCTOBER. Its has been a scary journey but was full of many blessings. we wanted to share this update and just remind everyone that life is full of surprises, good and bad. but its how you deal with them and get past them that matters.

With lots of love, The Pozo Family.

Espy has just finished her 5th chemo session and only one more to go. The chemo volume has increased to avoid any kind of radiation and is very hard to deal with. There are also 4 spinal fluid chemo infusions that she must go through that cause debilitating migraines which I've witnessed first hand. But espy is steadfast and focused, she is strong and doing well. We just scheduled the last chemo for october 2-6, after that she will get a scan. She is almost at the end of the obstacle. We continue to ask for payers and your support as we kick cancers butt. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and God bless you.

Just wanted to update everyone, so espy just finished her 3rd treatment and things are looking up. She got a pet scan and the doctors say she is responding to the chemotherapy very well and they have seen a big reduction in cancer. We feel like we have won half the battle but still have the rest of the war to win. Keep us in your prayers, thank you and God bless

Today 7/3/17 Espy starts round 2 of chemo. She's feeling good physically and mentally this round but continues to ask for prayers and positive messages. Before her week in the hospital we took our Bella to the park for some much needed quality time and we thought we would share it with you all. God bless and thank you in advance for your support..
