Brighter Future w eSight

    
                 Help give the gift of sight to our son. 

      Please help us raise funds for our son Dennis, he was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease at age 5  called Cone-Rod Dystrophy. Doctors have not found a cure for this. He is legally blind. His retinal specialist recommended eSight. Dennis' current vision is 20/200,  eSight enables Dennis to see at 20/20 (Perfect Vision) when using it. The cost is a huge barrier for us. It is not approved or covered by  U.S. Insurance companies. Please help with the gift of sight by making a donation for Dennis.      
           Dennis has a degenerative eye disease Cone-Rod dystrophy that has left him legally blind. With amazing new technology called eSight eyewear, Dennis could finally see things he hasn't since age 5, prior to getting diagnosed. At the demo prior to  eSight his vision was 20/200, while using eSight Dennis' vision  was an amazing 20/20. For the first time in his life, he could see my face and see things that were 15ft away, he could read a license plate 25 feet away. Dennis normally has to be within arm’s length of something to see, we couldn’t believe the difference.
       Dennis was a foster child my husband and I cared for since he was a year old and then adopted. He is very loving, funny, extremely smart and determined child you will ever meet. He's a straight A student, member of National Junior Honor Society despite his challenges. Dennis has overcome so much. With his lack of sight, Dennis is missing out on so many things in life. It breaks my heart. As his parents we worry about his future. With eSight, Dennis could see everything sighted people take for granted. He wants to see tall sky scrapers, enjoy a ballgame, and see the animals at Busch Gardens.  His dream is to be able to drive on his first date, to attend a great college and most of all be independent. With your help and donations our sons dreams are possible.
      Currently, school can be a challenge for Dennis, even when he’s able to enlarge the fonts on his computer screen and change the contrast, he strains his eyes. He can only see things very close up, and even then, not clearly. By the end of the day, his eyes are horribly tired.  Dennis has to complete some homework on weekends. He never complains, he knows this device could give him the ability to be independent.

Cone-Rod dystrophy is a rare disease that currently has no cure. With everyone's help,  Dennis could  get the eSight eyewear he so desperately needs.Please help make the gift of sight happen for our son. We will be forever grateful.

 eSight is a Canadian company located in Toronto. It is not covered by any insurance here in the United States. The  cost for eSight is $15,000 which is a huge barrier for us.
