Escuela raíces A.C. Is the first Waldorf initiative in the state of Puebla, Mexico. The waiting list to join our non-profit educational community is growing longer, and in response, we are building a new, permanent campus. This is where you come in.
The previous year, through sacrifice, fundraising, and loans, we started the first phase of building. The first phase consisted of four kindergarten classrooms for two younger groups (2-4.5 years) and two older groups (4.5- 6.5 years). However, our student body is currently divided into two campuses. Our original campus is a rented house that has been modified to provide learning spaces for our nursery group and first through fourth grade.
We want to become whole. We want to become one school.
Our hope is that we will be able to build the second phase of the premises in the upcoming months with the help of our extended global community.
The second phase of building allows students on our second campus to join the groups on our permanent site.
Our goal is to build: one nursery classroom, four-grade school classrooms and an administrative building (offices and bathrooms). The size of these classrooms is determined by a certain number of square meters per child in a fully-enrolled class (Currently 12 in nursery and 24 grade students).
This second phase also includes 50 meters of perimeter wall for security and access two gates.
The total area of the seven buildings is 500 square meters
The total cost for these seven buildings and the wall is $145,000.00 USD ($3,000,000.00 MXN).
The value for phase one was $2,000,000 MXN, a cost that was covered by our own fundraising efforts and a loan provided by the Tichi Muñoz Foundation. However, we need to pay back the loan and accrue the resources to complete the building.
Currently, we can receive donations in dollars and other foreign currency thanks to the support of our fiscal sponsor RSF Social Finance. They will safehold your tax-free donation as we gather the funds we need to proceed with our building project.
With your help, we can complete this project and provide children with a special place to grow, explore, learn and dream.

La escuela Raíces A.C. es la primera iniciativa Waldorf en el estado de Puebla, México. Nuestra lista de espera esta creciendo ciclo con ciclo, y en respuesta, estamos construyendo un campus nuevo y permanente. Aquí es donde entras tú.
El año pasado, con sacrificio, donaciones y deudas, empezamos la primera fase de la construcción. La primera fase consiste en cuatro salones para niños pequeños (2 a 4.5 años) y dos grupos para niños más grandes (4.5 a 6 años). Sin embargo, nuestro cuerpo estudiantil esta actualmente dividido en 2 campus. Nuestro campus original es una casa rentada, modificada para proveer espacios de aprendizaje a nuestro grupo de nido, y nuestros grupos de primero a cuarto de primaria.
Queremos unirnos en una sola escuela.
Nuestra esperanza es poder construir la segunda fase en los próximos meses, con la ayuda de la comunidad global.
Esta segunda fase permitirá a los estudiantes del segundo campus, unirse en nuestro campus principal
