Escondido Art Association - Annual Campaign for Kids in Art
Escondido Art Association is a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization. The Escondido Art Association (EAA) is dedicated to promoting fine arts in our community. Please see website: http://escondidoartist.weebly.com/
The EAA is active in the community of Escondido: hosting shows benefiting local causes, giving scholarships to local high school students at a no-fee to enter show, and hosting a free Kids Kaleidoscope art show for grades 1 - 12th with cash awards. We also give art to senior care homes, host an adult student show open to all at reduced fees,
and even show member artwork in local businesses. Anyone with an interest in the visual arts or the desire to support the EAA is welcome as a member!
The Art Association and the Artists Gallery – the display sector of the EAA – are unique in being the only all-volunteer gallery in Escondido. Members of this exceptional association share the daily responsibility of staffing the gallery.
Mission:
Since its foundation, the mission of the Association has been the promotion of North San Diego County artists through education, exhibition and professional development.
The Campaign:
We are raising money to be used in support of our 2018 High School Senior Scholarship (March) and the Kids Kaleidoscope art show for grades 1 - 12th (April). These activities cost the association about $2000. Our organization is truly non-profit with expenses exceeding income by about $3000 per year. So the kids program are significant costs to our association. Fund raising efforts help keep our doors open.
Funds will be used in 2018, but any coming now will be saved specifically for the Kids programs.
Donations of any amounts will be deeply appreciated. Those who donate $100 or more will have their names added to our annual "Patrons of the Arts" plaque. Those who donate $1000 or more will have their names added to our "Presidents' Recognition" plaque for multiple years. These plaques are on display at Artists Gallery, 121 W. Grand, Escondido, CA
We will be extremely grateful for any donations that
help us continue our Kids Art Programs. We can provide receipts of donations for tax deduction purposes (upon request).
