Erin's Journey Home Wish
Many of you have asked about Erin's prognosis.
Over the last couple months Erin's brain Cancer returned and is spreading quickly, causing her to have round the clock care, she is currently bedridden and has been placed in Hospice Care at a friend's home who graciously offered rooms for both Erin and her family. Thankfully Carolyn has been by her sisters side, taking care of and making Erin as comfortable as possible. Erin & Carolyn are so grateful for the prayers, meals, & support from family & friends.
With little to no hope for remission, we are now planning for her final journey home to her Lord & Savior.
Erin's faith and love of the Lord has given her strength & peace.
Erin's "Journey Home Wish" is to have a traditional burial (no cremation) at Pere Marquette Catholic Cemetery and to have a Latin Requiem Mass in celebration of her life.
Erin's life long calling has been her Church & caring for children of many local families.
This fund is to assist the family with Erin's funeral, viewing, burial plot, head stone, & other expenses associated with her wishes.
A little history:
In October 2016, Erin had her first seizure that led to various doctor visits, seeking a prognosis and answers.
June 2017, Erin had a massive seizure (1/2 hour long). The ER doctor said, should have left her brain dead. Erin woke right up.
August 2017, Erin went an 8 hour surgery to resection a mass that was over her right side & frontal lobe. Smooth sailing with the procedure, but dark and stormy test results were to follow. The mass tested as a Grade 4 Glioblastoma tumor. Doctor said he was sorry, but nothing could be done... Chemo & radiation would not likely extend her life. Erin did not proceed with any other treatment & was given 6-12 months to live.
Over the next 18 months with her faith and much love & support from her family, friends & church, Erin made difference in the world. She lived life to her fullest possible, showing those in her small community the power of prayer & redemptive suffering. Taking Pilgrimage to Lourdes, France & Fatima, Portugal.
In January, Erin was invited by Trinity Pilgrimage to be present at the April 2nd, 2019 Apparition with Mirjana & Our Lady of Medjugorje (Bosnia/Herzegovina). With donations from family & friends from West Michigan, North Carolina, & Texas, Erin was able to attend. Sadly, it's also where her health took a turn for the worse.
