Hello music lovers. My name is Eric Scott. I'm a Washington, DC soul/pop singer & songwriter and full time musician. I'm about to record and release some new music, and I'm very excited to tell you about it!
I released my fourth CD in 2012, and I've continued writing and demoing songs since then. With 4 years worth of new music, I have more than enough songs for two albums. So...I'm going to release two projects! The first will be a 5-6 song EP titled "The Charm City Sessions." The second will be a full length CD of 10-12 songs that is untitled as of now. Producers Jim Ebert (Cowboy Mouth, Butch Walker, Meredith Brooks) and Scott Smith (Naked Blue), and Mark Williams (OAR) are helping me bring these all new tunes to life, and recording has begun! We're pushing the envelop with horns, strings, choirs, funky grooves, sweet soulful rhythms, and lyrics that take you directly into my soul. I'm challenging myself to grow and evolve on these new recordings like never before.
I funded my first 4 albums entirely myself. But for these recordings, I want to up my game, and that will simply require more resources. I will still come out of my pockets for these projects, but the $15,000 I'm asking for will truly help. If we get more, it will be a blessing. All of the contributions will go toward the recordings, musician fees, CD design and artwork, mailings, and marketing and promotion. I'll make sure that for your kindness in giving, you'll get the absolute best record that I can possibly make.
I'm asking you to dream with me, create with me, sing with me, laugh with me, cry with me, close your eyes with me, take a deep breath with me, jump off a cliff with me, fly with me, ...and BELIEVE with me. Because that's what creating art is. Thank you in advance for your support!
