fight against bile duct cancer

February 18th 2016 Eric Dewey was informed he needed to have back surgery ASAP on his herniated discs in his lower back. The following weekend he ended up in the emergency room 4X because his pain could not be controlled on his back. On February 22st his doctor took him off of work until he had his back surgery completed. On February 23 the emergency room doctor ordered a CT scan and found a mass on his liver. Upon further investigation Eric tested positive for bile duct cancer aka cholangiocarcinoma. The only cure known to the medical industry is removal of the tumor. We were informed March 17th that surgery is not an option and Eric has stage 4 cancer. Eric had to resign from his job and his wife Suzi is taking off time needed to bring him back and forth to the doctors. Eric will be undergoing chemo treatments which will help prolong his life. Eric and Suzi have two beautiful daughters Sabrina 16 and Katie 13. They're holding on strong in their faith believing that God can do miracles in this situation. Both Eric and Suzi do a lot of volunteering in the community. They're actively involved in their Church. While they don't like asking for help they are in a situation where they need God to move this mountain that is standing in their way financially. They do not have any short-term disability and Suzi is the only one employed right now. Eric has been approved for disability from Social Security but it is a five-month wait before he will receive payment. They have worked hard to buy a home 2 years ago in Cambridge. With Eric unable to work they have lost most of their income to support their family. They're praying and believing for miracles to help them stay in their home while Eric undergoes chemo treatments.
