Equine Veterinary Aid - California

On Thursday December 7, 2017 a wildfire devastated San Luis Rey Downs, killing an unknown number of Thoroughbred Race Horses. Many farms in San Diego County are being evacuated however the majority of the 400 horses stables at the training Center were not able to due to highway closures from the impending flames. Grooms and caretakers of the horses released them from their stalls to give them the best possible chance to escape the flames.
All the funds from this gofundme will be going directly to veterinary clinics in the area to assist in medical costs associated with injuries to the horses as a direct result of the fire. This includes ongoing medical costs due to burns and smoke inhalation.
