The Story

“Opportunity, equality, respect. Nothing more, nothing less.”

In June 2017, female soccer players from all over the world, climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and played the highest altitude match of soccer - of any gender - EVER. This feat was recorded in the Guinness World Records as the highest altitude soccer match ever played.

"You can’t."

Two words women and girls have heard for centuries — especially when it comes to sport.

The Equal Playing Field, which organized and executed the challenge on Mount Kilimanjaro, is a grassroots nonprofit initiative which challenges gender inequality in sport and promotes sports development for girls and women globally.

Now, the EPF is using the momentum from their previous world record match to deliver a new challenge centered on promoting women's football and development in Jordan and Asia. An EPF team of players, coaches, referees and leaders made up of women from across the Middle East, Asia, and the Kilimanjaro trip will travel across Jordan playing exhibition matches and running football and empowerment camps for girls and women in local communities and refugee camps. At the culmination of the trip, EPF will play another world record match at the Dead Sea, the lowest altitude point on earth. Therein, completing two world records, playing both the highest and lowest altitude matches in history - in less than 1 year.

I have been chosen to be a part of the support crew for this new quest in Jordan!

As you may know, the past five years I have been working with various sports for development, grassroots nonprofits that use soccer as a catalyst for girl empowerment and youth development. I am honored to join the Equal Playing Field team of extraordinary females, working to empower girls/women and challenge the status quo of gender equality.

I humbly ask for your support to help empower the next generation of change makers during this quest! The money raised will assist in my travel expenses during the 3 week journey, as I help make sure everything runs smoothly for our team of females to conquer another world record!

How can you help?

1. Donate! Every penny counts! Really, ANYTHING! $5, $10, $15, $25, $50, etc.! No amount is too small!

2. SREAD THE WORD! Word of mouth is powerful – tell people about this awesome expedition and post this link to your social media.

3. Donate your air miles! Do you have a lot of air miles on either United Airlines or American Airlines you wish to donate? I have membership with both airlines - 40,000 miles reserves a one way ticket! You can contact me via email if you wish to donate your air miles!

Thank you in advance for helping me and the Equal Playing Field show the world that anyone can do anything, regardless of gender.

P.S. The entire project will be documented & published by EPF’s award- winning film team, its international communications platform, and by guaranteed global media. Check out EPF’s video documentary of the journey on Mount Kilimanjaro, which was shown on BeIN Sports.
